Where is the entrance?
The entrance to House C is in the backyard. If the door is closed, just ring our doorbell. Once inside, take the stairs up, then turn left and continue to “Box 39.”
When are you there?
Every Thursday starting at 7 p.m., we have an Open Space for anyone interested.
Is there a fee?
No.
What do you do?
Hack, chat, and drink mate. And all sorts of other stuff.
Can you explain that in more detail?
- Open Space: We’re an open hackspace. That means everyone is free to explore their interests here. Creativity and the joy of experimentation are important to us. And you’ll pick up some new skills along the way.
- Nerd Stuff: Open source and reverse engineering are second nature to us. We work with both hardware and software. Here, every box gets unscrewed, examined, and repurposed to your heart’s content.
- Tinkering: Soldering station? Check. 3D printer? Check. Woodshop? Check. CNC router? Todo. Server rack? Check. Fiber optics? Check. JSON API? Check. Know-how about everything? Todo. We tinker and build here.
- Chatting: Civil liberties, security, data protection—we discuss and philosophize. We also regularly attend ChaosZone events to chat with others.
- Commitment: The community thrives on the commitment of many wonderful people. We want to contribute too—for example, to projects like Freifunk or the Computertruhe. We also organize our own events, such as Linux Presentation Day.
- Fun: Nothing happens here without fun! Whether at the weekly meeting, a barbecue in the backyard, or a game night—there’s always something to laugh about here.
